The Immigrant Investor visa category, commonly referred to as EB-5, is designed to promote economic development and job growth in the United States. Foreign investors may be eligible to apply for a permanent resident visa in the EB-5 category if:
The investment in a U.S. business is between $500,000 and $1,000,000
The U.S. business uses the funds to create at least 10 new permanent full-time jobs
The investor is able to demonstrate that the funds used for the investment were obtained from a lawful source
